Girl in physical education

Child Garden's Physical Education program is something you're not likely to find anywhere else.

"It is clear that children and adults who are physically active on a regular basis are healthier than those who are not active. It is also evident from research findings that many children and adults do not regularly take part in physical activities that contribute to a healthy lifestyle." - Steve Sanders, Ed.D

If we want our children to participate regularly in physical activity we must first provide them with developmentally appropriate activities that will assist them in the development of physical skills. The program at Child Garden focuses on foundational activities such as jumping, balancing, hand-eye coordination, kicking, throwing, and body awareness. Three classes are taught each day, Monday through Friday, and are available to all preschool age children. Providing a structured environment for movement based activities allows children to hone physical skills by achieving desired outcomes.
Children are required to wear closed-toe shoes to PE class and it is preferable for them to have socks available to wear to prevent blisters on their feet.
